Students celebrate Kindness Week with overwhelming participation and continue spreading joy as they “Poppin’ Back to School”
Fairfield, CA (February 24, 2026) – Just before the February break, students at Fairview Elementary School filled their campus with messages of gratitude, friendship, and encouragement during a heartfelt Kindness Week. At the heart of the celebration were Kindness Grams - thoughtful notes students could purchase for just $1 to send to friends and staff members. Each message delivered a simple but powerful reminder: small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Due to strong participation and enthusiasm, Kindness Gram sales were extended for an additional week under the theme “Poppin’ Back to School,” complete with lollipops to sweeten each message and help students reconnect after the break.
The initiative reflects Fairview’s mission to equip every student for success through strong instructional practices and social-emotional programs. By creating structured opportunities for students to practice empathy, appreciation, and positive communication, the school continues to strengthen its culture of belonging and connection.
“Our students truly embraced the spirit of Kindness Week,” said Fairview Principal Candace Wills. “Extending Kindness Grams as we return from break allows us to carry the positivity forward and continue building a community where every student feels seen, valued, and supported.”
“Connectedness and kindness are foundational to student success,” said Jennifer Sachs, Superintendent of FSUSD. “When students feel safe, seen, and cared for, they are better prepared to learn and thrive.”
As students return to campus and continue “poppin’” into the new week with positivity, Fairview Elementary proves that kindness isn’t just a one-week event – it’s a culture that lasts all year long!
